yttm: Christmas specials these days are tired and lame.  I have no major qualms with Frosty, Charlie Brown and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, but each year their television specials are fed to us ad nauseam so that the baby boomers who run the networks can relive the magic of their youth.  Well what about MY generation!?!  Back in the 1980s, we had our own Christmas specials and they were pretty fucking amazing, too!  Unfortunately, many of these Christmas specials like Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas, The Glo Friends Save Christmas and The California Raisin’s Christmas Special haven’t been seen in over two decades.  Consider these Christmas videos our gift to you as we patiently wait for our parent’s generation to die off so that one day we can replay THESE specials ad nauseam until they too are tired and lame.
